Arctic Textures

Hidden in the extreme arctic frost of the Swedish Lapland, during the polar nights of January, textures of ice and snow encapsulate the magic of Nature.  Far away from prying eyes, in a covert cave on the edge of an immense frozen lake, ephemeral frozen sculptures sprout like winter flowers, waiting for the breath of spring to melt them. Images taken in Abisko, Swedish Lapland, on a dark January morning when the sun never rises.
